Andy Sloane is an Executive Vice President of AECOM Civil Construction, where he is responsible for strategic partnering with potential contractors and designers, as well as design/build pursuits. He currently oversees business development and corporate administration for the Southwest Division of the company.
Andy joined the Shimmick team in 1996, after a five year period with Steve P. Rados, Inc. During his tenure here at Shimmick, he has had extensive experience in estimating and project management. Key projects include the following: Project Manager of a Caltrans project in Los Angeles, Project Manager of the $173 million dollar LA Metro Design/Build Orange Line Project, Project Manager of the $206 million dollar MWD Robert A. Skinner Ozone Retrofit Project, and Project Sponsor of the $190 million dollar MWD Robert Diemer Ozone Retrofit Project.
Andy is a third generation civil engineer. He has been on construction projects since childhood and knew early on that construction was going to be his career of choice. Andy has a strong passion for understanding heavy construction from the ground up. He spent his college summers in the laborers' union getting first-hand knowledge of the work.
Andy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of California.
