Matt Kuzmick is an Executive Vice President of AECOM Civil Construction and for the Southwest Region. In this role Matt oversees all operations and Shimmick projects within the region.
During his career at Shimmick, Matt has been a key asset in heavy civil construction work within Los Angeles County and the surrounding areas. He has served as Project Director of the Big Tujunga Dam Seismic Rehabilitation Project constructed for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. He also was Project Manager for the Design-Build Orange Line Project, which was built for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro).
Prior to joining Shimmick Construction, Matt was employed for 10 years with the Northwest District of Kiewit Pacific Company constructing a variety projects in Northern and Southern California, and Hawaii. Past assignments include water resource projects (Domenigoni Valley Reservoir West Dam Excavation, Manuwai Canal Extension) and a variety of highway projects throughout California.
Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology/Construction Management from California State University, Long Beach in 1993. He is an active member of the United States Society on Dams (USSD).
