Six outstanding projects built by AGC of California contractors were chosen as winners in the Twenty-Second Annual Associated General Contractors of California's Constructor Awards program.

The winning projects, along with all of the Constructor Awards finalists named in this year’s competition, were honored as the “best of the best” in California construction during the 2009 Awards Banquet and presentation at The Marriott Newport Beach Hotel & Spa on April 4. The prestigious black tie event, the “Oscars” evening for the construction industry, was attended by over 280 people from top construction firms throughout the state.

Constructor Winner: Shimmick Construction Co., Inc., for Sunset Reservoir North Basin Seismic Retrofit in San Francisco 

Also selected as finalists in this category were: Dynalectric for Harvard Westlake Middle School Modernization Project in Los Angeles, and Monterey Mechanical Co. for Contra Costa Water District/City of Brentwood Water Treatment Plant in Oakland.
