The project consisted of demolishing and reconstructing the deteriorating boarding platforms and upgrades to allow for proper ADA access. Electrical and communications services were upgraded with a new network to service the new public address, visual message, and ticket and parking vending systems.
The improvements at California Avenue included the construction of a new pedestrian underpass with HDCP ramps for access between the new northbound and southbound boarding platforms.
The Palo Alto Station was an existing historic site. The improvements included construction of HDCP ramps that tie into the existing pedestrian tunnel to allow access between the new northbound and southbound boarding platforms.
