The contract included the construction of a cut-and-cover concrete pedestrian tunnel with an attached loading dock structure as well as three new mainline tracks. The new track alignment passes over the tunnel and ties into the existing mainline. Additional scope included site clearing, concrete demolition, storm drain system, track, and signal work. All work was successfully performed on or adjacent to active tracks running both passenger and freight operations. Self-performed work included site clearing, demolition, excavation, utilities, structural concrete, track sub-grade, track ballast, and rail work.
