Owner: Yolo County
Contract value: $2,700,000
The project replaced an existing timber bridge with an eight span precast, prestressed concrete I-girder bridge as well as the construction of an approach roadway.
The new bridge has seven cast-in-place piers bearing on 24 octagonal precast, prestressed concrete friction piles up to 90 ft long. The eight I-girder spans are over 70 ft long. A 6.5-in concrete deck was placed over the concrete girders.
The project also included driving ten 14-in square precast, prestressed concrete piles at each abutment. Battered piles in these groups were up to 96 ft long. Levee and approach roadway work required importing 8,000 cubic yards of fill material.
