Shimmick Construction is currently recruiting for the position of Superintendent.

This position demands an energetic and dedicated person who thrives on taking ownership and pride in their work. It is hands on and technically challenging.  The duties involve being the direct liaisons between the field crews/activities, subcontractors, engineers and management. Superintendents careers are developed so that they ultimately posses extensive knowledge of all construction activities, have the ability to supervise and delegate responsibilities to crew members, deal with all aspects of subcontractor scheduling, and are computer literate so that completion of all electronic forms, reports and documentation that they are responsible for are completed accurately. Additionally, experienced and successful superintendents also estimate work and should become Project Managers.
