Robert “Bob” Schraeder is a vice president focusing on large projects. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience and more than 15 years of experience working on large projects.
Bob most recently served as the project manager of the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement, where he provided leadership and direction for project design and construction as well as quality control. Prior to this, he served as Shimmick’s Director of Design-Build, leading and sponsoring design-build projects in the Southwest. He continues to take a lead role in design-build estimating for the division.
Bob has been a project manager and project design manager for large projects across the United States. Highlights from his career include the Exposition Light Rail Transit, a $570 million project in downtown Los Angeles; the $700 million Foothill Transportation Corridor – South in Orange County, California; the $90 million SR-92 Highway in Salt Lake County, Utah; and the $240 million Carolina Bays Parkway in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He also worked with Shimmick on the $175 million San Fernando Valley Bus Rapid Transit Project as the deputy design manager.
