Brad White

Vice President, Transportation Operation and Management

Biography

Brad White, vice president of the Operations and Management Division, has 35 years of operations and maintenance experience gained while working on complex projects across the U.S. and abroad. He has been with Shimmick and its legacy companies for 19 years and is responsible for Shimmick’s operations and management services across the U.S., including strategic planning and business development. He oversees technical, operational, and financial aspects of projects ranging from a few million to several hundred million dollars in value.

Prior to joining Shimmick legacy company Washington Group, Brad served as program manager for TransCore LP., part of the Roper Technology family of companies, where he was responsible for implementation and ongoing operations and maintenance of radio frequency identification systems (RFID) used for electronic toll collection across the country.  He also held positions of increasing responsibility while working at MFS Network Technologies, Science Applications International Corporation, and Syntonic Technologies. While with these companies, Brad was instrumental in the introduction of RFID technology for tolling and airports in several states, including Florida, California, South Carolina, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Illinois.

Brad started his career with the Florida Department of Transportation, where he was responsible for maintenance of the northern section of the Florida Turnpike. He also served in the U.S. Army where he was assistant site chief responsible for a 400-plus channel microwave communication site.
