Ed Randol, vice president of the National Division, has more than 38 years of experience in construction, engineering, and management with extensive design-build experience. Ed is responsible for overseeing transportation and transit operations. He has served as an executive sponsor for New Jersey Transit’s $2.25 billion Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit DBOM project, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s $261 million Gilcrease Expressway DBF project, and Colorado Department of Transportation’s $56.1 million I-70 Peak Period Shoulder Lane CM/GC project, and Kansas City’s Southern de Mexico CM at Risk project.
Ed has worked for Shimmick and its heritage companies, progressing from engineer-in-training, cost engineer, and project superintendent to project manager. Prior to working for Shimmick, Ed managed a pharmaceutical/biotech group, where he was responsible for the overall economy of operations, including goals/objectives, operations, business development, profit and loss costs, scheduling, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, safety, and quality assurance.
Ed received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering technology from Northern Arizona University.
