Rusty Lucido, vice president of the Legacy Foundations Division, has 20years of experience in the foundation drilling industry, 10 of which have been with Shimmick. While he specializes in large diameter and deep foundations, Rusty is versatile in all foundation drilling methods, performing challenging foundation, drilled shaft, and shoring projects across the U.S. Rusty is a second-generation driller dedicated to providing high quality work as safely as possible.
Rusty began his career as an operating engineer and has since overseen the installation of hundreds of drilled shafts, micro piles, and shoring throughout the west coast. He has been a key member and leader of projects such as the Utah State Capital Building Seismic Upgrade project, the West Approach to Bay Bridge project, the TJPA Transbay Transit Center project, the Gerald Desmond Bridge project, and the HART Airport Guideway project.
Rusty started his career in the field as an Operating Engineer and worked his way up through the company to his current position.
