Engineering News Record ranks Shimmick as one of the largest water supply contractors in the U.S. Shimmick self performs MEP scope for water/wastewater treatment projects, including major upgrades to the $205 million Skinner Water Treatment Plant, the $188 million Diemer Oxidation Retrofit and the $91 million Big Tujunga Dam. In addition to the civil work, Shimmick will also self-perform the MEP scope on the $357 million North City Pure Water Facility for the City of San Diego.
