Shimmick constructed a new pedestrian tunnel to access the Santa Clara Caltrain Station from Brokaw Road and connect to the future BART station. The project scope included 5,000 cubic yards of excavation, installing 80 feet of precast concrete tunnel, and 225 feet of cast-in-place concrete ramp and retaining walls. Shimmick also self-performed the required electrical work for the project.
