Jaime Hurtado

Jaime Hurtado is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer with Shimmick, where he leads the company’s legal, governance, compliance, and risk management functions. With more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors, Mr. Hurtado has advised on some of the world’s largest and most complex capital projects. His expertise includes contracting, procurement, dispute avoidance, corporate governance, M&A, and risk management. He has supported major transportation, water, energy, and civil infrastructure developments across North America, Europe, and Asia, with extensive experience in traditional and alternative delivery models.

Before joining Shimmick, Mr. Hurtado served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of Northland Power (TSX: NPI) and previously held senior executive legal leadership roles with Dragados across the United States, Canada, Spain, and Greece. He holds a J.D. from the National Committee on Accreditation in Canada and an LL.B. from the University of Alicante in Spain and is admitted to practice law in Washington State, Ontario, Madrid, and Athens.
