Shimmick is the new leader in water infrastructure.
In 2021, as an independent company under new ownership, Shimmick began a transformation to re-envision its strategy to meet the nation’s growing need for water and other critical infrastructure. The benefits of that transition are being realized now.
For the first time in company history, Shimmick has been ranked by ENR as a top ten builder of dams and reservoirs, water supply, and water treatment and desalination. Capitalizing on our long history of large and complex water projects, ranging from the world’s largest wastewater recycling and purification system in California to the record-setting Hoover Dam, we are led by industry veterans, many with over 20 years of experience, and work closely with our customers to deliver complete solutions, including long-term operations and maintenance.
Today, Shimmick delivers solutions to meet the nation’s growing need for water and other critical infrastructure.
We are committed to meeting the nation’s needs for water infrastructure, including wastewater treatment, water conveyance (pipes, pump stations, irrigation and drainage channels), water storage (dams, reservoirs, weirs), flood protection (levees, flood walls), and environmental projects (species protection, fish ladders, hatcheries), and more.
Our long-standing customer relationships, revenue stability, market-leading position, effective risk management, presence in key geographies, and a commitment to talent development contribute to our ability to effectively execute this key objective.
Safety is at the core of everything we do. We are committed to protecting the lives of all employees. At Shimmick, you’ll get the training, support and tools to perform your work safely and to become a leader in workplace safety. If it can’t be done safely, we won’t do it. We care about your safety and health—because we know we’re not the only ones counting on you.
Shimmick operates under three geographic divisions: National Division, Northwest Division, and Southwest Division. We also have two specialty divisions: Electrical and Process Mechanical and Legacy Foundations.
Shimmick’s mission empowers people to imagine, plan, build and operate high-quality, complex projects in partnership with our clients. Our core values – Safety, Achievement, Transparency, Empowerment and Responsibility, Authentic Relationships, and Mutual Trust and Support – guide this mission and everything we do.
Shimmick has a long history of completing complex water projects, ranging from the world’s largest wastewater recycling and purification system in California to the record-setting Hoover Dam.
