Jimmy Draper, vice president of the Southwest Division, has more than 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction, managing complex heavy civil projects including design-build, heavy rail, bus transit, technical bridges, dams, flood control, and water treatment. He is responsible for the Southwest Division project operations.
Jimmy joined Shimmick in 2000 as an intern while completing his college degree. During his 20 years with Shimmick, he has worked on or led many successful jobs in the Southwest. Some of his key public-works projects include the $88 million Henry Ford Grade Separation project, $175 million San Fernando Valley Bus Rapid Transit project, the $95 million Big Tujunga Dam Seismic Retrofit project, the $156 million San Vicente Dam Raise project, the $188 million Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant project, and the $200 million Groundwater Replenishment System Final Expansion project.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California.
