Tonya Sandman

Tonya Sandman is the Director of Marketing and Communications, bringing over 30 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, and employee engagement within AEC and energy industries. She leads all internal and external communication strategies, manages corporate branding to foster a cohesive brand identity, and guides efforts to enhance employee engagement and cultivate a positive workplace culture.

Throughout her career, Ms. Sandman has spearheaded communication and employee programs, including Shimmick’s Great Place to Work certification and managed high-profile employee engagement campaigns, such as Construction Safety Week and Women in Construction Week. Her expertise spans brand strategy, change management communications, pursuit marketing, and employee experience—building alignment across internal and external audiences to support growth.

Ms. Sandman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with dual emphases in Public Relations and Journalism from Colorado State University, Pueblo.
