Shimmick is leading the construction of the Bollinger Canyon Road – Iron Horse Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing in San Ramon, California. This six-span cable-stayed bridge provides a grade-separated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists over Bollinger Canyon Road, enhancing safety and connectivity along the Iron Horse Trail. The project aims to eliminate conflicts between trail users and vehicular traffic, improve traffic flow by removing at-grade crossings, and encourage increased trail use.

Shimmick’s responsibilities encompass the erection of steel center pylons, bridge bearings, steel superstructure, stay cables, and precast deck panels, executed by detailed engineering plans.
