Coleman National Fish Hatchery Water Supply Intake Rehabilitation

The Coleman National Fish Hatchery is operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and is located approximately 150 miles north of Sacramento in the town of Anderson, CA. Operation of the hatchery requires a consistent supply of high-quality water throughout the year.

The rehabilitation project consisted of cofferdam installation and removal, demolition of existing intake and control building structures, demolition of existing weir structure, construction of a new cast-in-place concrete intake structure and control building, expanded intake and weir structure in the PG&E tailrace, 2,000 lineal feet of fusion welded HDPE pipeline from 30 inches to eight feet deep, pipeline crossings, and extensive dewatering.
