Grandsen Pump Station Phase 2

Grandsen Pump Station Phase 2

The Grandsen Pump Station Phase 2 project is an emergency pump station facility that allows Calleguas to supply water to Simi Valley in case that their normal supply of water for that area is unavailable, either after a major natural disaster, during extended utility outages, or other major event.

The project required civil, mechanical, structural steel, concrete, masonry, roofing, and asphalt concrete. Specialty work, for which Shimmick self-performed a large portion, included electrical, instrumentation, communication, and landscape work, as well as the installation of a new surge tank facility in the City of Simi Valley. Shimmick also installed seven new and replaced one existing air vacuum and air release valve located in various locations in Simi Valley.
