The OCPC Campus Bridges project is being constructed to connect both sides of the new OCPC office campus across the future Marine Way. The North Bridge is a cast-in-place concrete box girder bridge providing vehicular connection to both sides of the campus. The larger Plaza Deck is a cast-in-place concrete slab bridge supporting the future park spanning over Marine Way, providing pedestrian access between buildings. Unique features of this project include innovative fire protection through the inclusion of polypropylene fibers in the concrete to mitigate potential fire damage to the Plaza Deck structure. Both bridges were designed and constructed to Caltrans standards.
