In coordination with Erlanger Hospital Emergency Management Team, Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project trained 296 employees on Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events by the ALERRT Center at Texas A&M. The training focused on the knowledge and skills to respond to an active attack situation and tailored for our project and the challenges at our site.
The training helped our employees recognize potential threats and how to employ the “Avoid, Deny, Defend” strategy to protect themselves and others around them not only at work but in their everyday lives.
“Unfortunately, this training is extremely important and I want to thank Ryan Elverd, Shimmick safety representative, for coordinating this effort,” said Rob Hobson, safety director for the National Division.
