The Lopez Drive bridge seismic retrofit is a structural rehabilitation of the existing Lopez drive bridge pier footings. New 96-inch diameter CIDH piles approximately 90 foot deep will be installed adjacent to the existing pier walls where a bent cap is to be installed under the existing bridge connecting the new columns. The existing pier walls are to be demolished after construction of the new columns and bent caps are complete.
