Shimmick recently secured a $10 million for the Port of Tacoma to construct a new short-to-ship power project at Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 vessel berths in Tacoma, WA. The contract includes installation of medium voltage electrical shore to ship power systems for the Terminal 3 and 4 vessel berths including substations and equipment.
In Southern California, Shimmick secured a $12 million contract for a new pump plant for Caltrans at the Henry Ford Avenue Off-Ramp. Located in the City of Long Beach, the structure will be a reinforced concrete combination box and shaft storage building founded on steel H-piles. Also in California, Shimmick subsidiary Legacy Foundations secured a $15 million subcontract for substructure construction at the new Deer Creek Bridge as part of the California High Speed Rail line between Frenso and Bakersfield.
